Residential Care Worker
£6.86 per hour
Part-time post, 20 hours per week
Based in Cheltenham

Residential Care Worker required for Care Home in Cheltenham.
The main responsibility of this role is to assist in providing the highest standard of care that will enable each person living in this environment to achieve his/her maximum potential.
To share with other staff in meeting the personal needs of residents in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence, offering extra support to those with more complex needs and to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
Principal direct responsibilities include:
1. assist residents who require help with dressing, undressing, bathing and the toilet
2. help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence
3. help in the promotion of mental and physical activities through conversation, outings, sharing in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreation etc
4. help in use and care of aids and personal equipment
5. assist in the administration of medication in line with Royal Court policy and procedure
6. care for residents who are temporarily sick
7. help care for residents who are dying and support families
8. housekeeping duties including bed making, light housework, set tables, washing up, empty commodes, laundry, mending
9. answer emergency bells, front door, telephone and greet visitors
10. read and write reports, attend staff meetings and training activities as requested
11. To report any matter of concern expressed by a service user, relative, advocate or representative.
