Guinness Northern Counties
Hello and welcome to Guinness Northern Counties.
Guinness Northern Counties have a simple approach to their
incredible work. They believe that the best services and homes can
only be delivered by the best people. This philosophy has helped
make them a hugely successful member of the national housing group:
The Guinness Partnership. Altogether, the partnership owns over
50,000 homes and employs nearly 3,000 people delivering services to
over 100,000 customers. This nationwide presence enables them to
provide a wider choice of homes and support services to
residents.
The origins of the Partnership go back to 1890, when it was
created by Edward Guinness, 1st Earl of Iveagh and Great Grandson
of the founder of the famous Brewery. Since then the partnership
has been through many changes, not least than over the past few
years, but all the while they've stayed true to their founding
principles: great service, great homes and great place to work.
Today, Guinness Northern Counties is an award-winning
association that delivers quality affordable homes and support
services to some of northern England's most vulnerable people. They
are Investors in People Champions and sponsor their employees to
achieve relevant professional qualifications; they also have an
excellent in-house training programme and a dedicated training team
providing not only housing management specific training but a
Leadership Management programme to train their businesses future
leaders.
They have a policy of customer inclusion and involve residents
in the decision-making process. Whether it's with a resident,
stakeholder or another care agency, all their relationships are
built upon trust and respect.
Their geographical region ranges from Coventry to Newcastle and
their Corporate Centre is in Hollinwood, Oldham. Employees receive
benefits including a generous holiday entitlement (up to 28 days +
bank holidays) and flexible working arrangements that help maintain
a healthy work life balance.
