Stafford and Rural Homes is a newly created registered social
landlord with a vision to provide quality, affordable housing in a
safe environment. It is also a vibrant, forward-thinking company
that strives for service excellence by reflecting the enthusiasm of
all its stakeholders.
The company owns and manages 5,600 homes in the Borough of
Stafford from one-bedroom flats to four-bedroom houses. Plus a
range of sheltered housing schemes for people aged 60 and over.
Previously owned by Stafford Borough Council, the stock transfer
took place following a vote in March 2005, which 68% of tenants who
voted favoured. The company is locally owned and controlled and is
committed to strengthening communities in the Borough's towns and
villages.
By empowering staff, customers and stakeholders to have a
genuinely meaningful input into the business, Stafford and Rural
Homes delivers excellent services for all its customers. Through
continued innovation, efficiency and strong leadership, it is sure
to deliver on its promise of a £60 million home repair and
improvement programme by 2010.
