The Community Housing Group
The Community Housing Group, based in the beautiful Wyre Forest
District of Worcestershire, manages and owns over 5,500 homes and
premises within the towns of Kidderminster, Stourport-on-Severn and
Bewdley.
The Group has two subsidiary companies, Wyre Forest
Community Housing and Wyre Forest Sheltered
Housing.
Wyre Forest Community Housing provides a
comprehensive housing management service for its stock, over 3,400
homes with additional features such as money advice, Neighbourhood
Warden Patrol affordable homes/shared ownership options and a large
resident involvement programme (enabling 6 tenant representatives
to sit on the Board of Management). The Company also includes a
very successful Property Services Division with a large team of
experienced trades people who have delivered maintenance and
refurbishment programmes to organisations and other Housing
Associations across the West Midlands.
Wyre Forest Sheltered Housing provides a wide
range of specialist accommodation and services for older and
vulnerable people to support independent living at home. They have
recently opened their first Extra Care Unit in partnership with the
local Primary Care Trust and County Council and have achieved
professional accreditation with their Telecare Alarm scheme. The
Company also provides a number of dining clubs which serve freshly
cooked meals in a comfortable environment and give diners the
opportunity to take part in free organised events and social
activities.
The Community Housing Group is proud to be called an Excellent
Organisation.
By adopting the robust Business Excellence management model,
they have grown into a vibrant and innovative organisation which
constantly strives to delight customers with exceptional
services.
This commitment helped them to become the first Housing
Association to win the prestigious Midlands Excellence Award in
2006 and they have gone on to achieve further awards and
accreditations for their service delivery.
But it's not just about winning awards. They are not frightened
to seek out customer views or use the feedback from external
inspections as a valuable part of continuous improvement. Teams are
part of the target setting process for business performance and
have a direct input into the development of policies and procedures
for the Group.
So you see, a career with The Community Housing Group could
